Kitty update… and a slightly sexy Jack Sparrow…Posted on January 22nd, 2009 @ 4:32 pm
Hello! Long time I know.
Well, kittens have been with us for approx 5 weeks now and are settling in a-o.k. Jasmine and Patroclus have even learnt their names and usually come running when called.
Here’s a little piccy:

That’s Jasmine with her paws over her face
In other news, Christmas was awesome, dinner turned out fantastic (even if the chef says so herself). The decorating got finished, even the guest room - which has also hosted a VIP from Texas for the past week… TLB’s mom came to stay which was just wonderful.
Next up for us; Pirate Party on Saturday night… oooh Jack!

So long, farewell…Posted on November 5th, 2008 @ 8:59 pm
The time to say goodbye to Spot and Smokey is drawing nearer day by day. Paulo gets the keys to his new gaff on Saturday, so once yours truly has helped him get all his stuff out of storage at the weekend, the only remaining thing to do will be to move the cats. It’s been 7 months since they arrived, six of which I’ve (almost) thoroughly enjoyed (I won’t talk about the first month - lets just say it was hard work!). In that time I’ve learnt: cats can be hard work - but that they can also be a lot of fun and very amusing. Having animals around the place has really made a house into a home, and so TLB and I have decided that we’d like to continue on in this manner post-S&S. We tried the RSPCA but didn’t find anybody we felt a bond with… so last night I went to see some kittens belonging to a friend-of-a-friend - well we’re smitten now, and the kittens are tabby; exactly what TLB and I envisaged ‘our’ cats would look like, so it seems meant to be. Fingers crossed all will go well, but as of mid-December we hope to be parents for ‘real’ and not just of the foster-variety.
So, here they are for their final photo-call:

Lots of kitten-goodness to follow when our new bundles of fun roll in next month. But we ARE gonna miss these two, they’ve really become part of the family during their time here (heck, even my parents like em!).
